Racetrack Inducts Two To Hall Of Fame

Two jockeys are set to be inducted to the hall of fame. American Quarter Horse jockey Tad Leggett and Chaplain Dennis Luft have been selected for their outstanding work with Prairie Meadows Racetrack.

Leggett began riding at Prairie meadows in 1989, the track’s inaugural year. He holds the record for most Quarter Horse wins at the track. Throughout his career Leggett has recorded 1,432 wins including eight Grade I victories in 131 stakes wins.

Chaplin Luft will also be welcomed into the hall of fame, but not for his racing. Luft has served as the Chaplin at the track for the last 12 years. His benevolence and spiritual ministry has been a guiding force for those who crossed his path in the racing industry.

A ceremony for the inductees will take place Friday, August 3.
