There will be a series of open houses to introduce the nearly-complete "Tomorrow Plan," starting Tuesday in Altoona.
According to their website, the aims of the Tomorrow Plan are to engage the public in planning, promoting regionalism and increasing sustainability, among other things.
The Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is hosting the series of open houses to introduce the plan, review its recommendations and solicit public input on how the plan contributes to a more resilient future for the region.
Open houses are from 5-7 p.m. on the following dates and locations. For more information, click here.

Wednesday, January 30th - Central Library - 1000 Grand Avenue, Des Moines
Thursday, January 31th - Ankeny Public Services Building - 220 West 1st Street, Ankeny
