This week, Prairie Meadows awarded $2 million in Legacy Grant funding to impact new, large-scale, non-profit projects in central Iowa.
The recipients are as follows:
Terrace Hill Foundation - Historical Renovation - $400,000
Civic Center of Greater Des Moines - Nollen Plaza Capital Campaign - $350,000
ChildServe - Expansion of Outpatient Therapy and Clinics - $250,000
The Des Moines Social Club - Firehouse Capital Campaign - $250,000
City of Bondurant - Regional Trailhead & Chichaqua Valley Trail Connection - $250,000
Des Moines Symphony - 75th Anniversary Campaign: Orchestrating the Future - $200,000
Iowa Homeless Youth Center - Iowa Homeless Youth Centers (IHYC) Capital Campaign - $100,000
Planned Parenthood - Patient Support Center/Primary Care Drop-in Clinic - $100,000
United Way of Central Iowa - Carver & Moulton Preschool Classrooms - $100,000
To date, Prairie Meadows has committed more than $20 million in legacy funding supporting arts & culture, economic development, education, and health & human services.
Applications for the next funding cycle will be available starting in May.
