Bass Pro Shops will be hosting their Spring Fishing Classic starting Friday February 24 and continuing through March 11 at all 52 of the Bass Pro Shops retail stores.

The Spring Fishing Classic makes it easy for the whole family to come and enjoy in all of the activities with free admission.

This year’s featured sweepstakes is the “Awesome Fishing with Mark Zona.” The grand prize winner will win a 2-day fishing trip with Mark Zona in Traverse City, MI and a $300 Bass Pro Shops gift card. The trip will be filmed and featured on The Outdoor Channel.

52 additional winners will receive a Fishing Prize Package valued at $370.

The event will feature new fishing products, live demonstrations, tips and techniques, boat shows, and even events for the kids.

Seminars will be made available on the weekends; the first weekend of seminars is listed below:

  • Friday February 24:
    • Advanced Small and Largemouth Bass Tactics at 6 p.m.
    • Local Fishing Tips and Techniques at 7 p.m.
    • Side Image Sonar: How to Use it Effectively to Catch Fish at 8 p.m.
  • Saturday February 25:
    • Bass Fishing Tips and Techniques at 1 p.m.
    • Pre-Spawn and Post-Spawn Bass at 2 p.m.
    • Fish Finder Basics at 3 p.m.
    • Crankbait Fishing: Tactics and Importance of Matching Rod and Reel Gear Ratio to Various CrankBaits at 4 p.m.
    • Spinnerbait Basics at 5 p.m.
  • Sunday February 26:
    • The Tackle and Tactics of Power Fishing vs. Finesse Fishing at 1 p.m.
    • Local Fishing Tips and Techniques at 2 p.m.
    • Side Image Sonar: How to Use it Effectively to Catch Fish at 3 p.m.
    • Fish Finder Basics at 4 p.m.

The second weekend will offer the BASSMaster University National Fishing Pros seminars and tank demonstrations on March 2 through March 4.
